The San Diego County Water Authority anticipates future environmental review associated with the proposed San Vicente Energy Storage Facility Project (Proposed Project). The Proposed Project is currently undergoing preliminary planning and feasibility analysis. Preliminary environmental studies are being conducted to inform project planning efforts. If the Proposed Project advances to project permitting, the San Diego County Water Authority will serve as CEQA Lead Agency, and the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) will serve as NEPA Lead Agency.
Study Plans being developed in association with the preliminary planning and feasibility phase of the project will be made available on this webpage, as they are completed.
Should the Proposed Project advance to project permitting, environmental review information, including opportunities for public scoping meetings and public comment, will be made available on this webpage.
